Freedom

"Bye, Mom, Dad," I said as we loaded the final bags into the dark blue sport's car with black tinted windows.

"Alice Castle, it is time for you to leave. If you do not leave within ten minutes you will be removed forcefully from the city." The intercom announced in a heartless voice.

After a few more goodbye hugs I slipped into the back seat of the car. As soon as the doors were closed,  the driver spoke for the first time,  "Are you ready to leave this torture palace?"
I looked at the driver, who had removed their hat. Revealing a gurl who had long curly black hair and a diamond shaped face. She removed her sunglasses to reveal gray eyes and a small jagged scar right below her left eye.
I jumped into shotgun and smiled for the first time that day, "Of course."
My best friend turned back to the wheel and jammed her foot on the gas. We sped out of town to the sound of alarms going off and Kinnidy's laughter.

"Did we lose them?" She asked.
"I think so, though I don't know why we couldn't go at a normal pace and keep under incognito. " I said.
"Well we had to leave in style. "
"Well we could've been caught in style." I retorted.
She scoffed, "Killjoy."
"Hey, I'm not a killjoy, I'm just overly careful," I say indignantly.
She scoffed again.
Silence followed.
"So, do we know where we're going?" I asked.
"Of course,  we're going into the Other Sphere."
"We actually found a way in!" I exclaimed.
"Of course, we couldn't tell you, just in case...."
We both knew what was implied, just in case... we were caught.
Caught trying to overthrow the tyranny that has been in power for one hundred years.
